SetupDoes it run on our own computer, or in the cloud?
Either. J-Jewellery is offered on-premise and cloud-based, so you can keep everything on a machine behind the counter or run it online across branches. Shops that choose on-premise keep working through an internet outage, because the data lives with them.
ComplianceIs it IRD approved?
Yes — IRD certified, registration #800994. SD tax at 0.5% is calculated on every gold bill and deducted on customer old gold as well, and the SD tax report and VAT ledger come out in the format the department expects.
KarigarHow does it handle karigar work?
You issue metal against a job card and print a chalan showing exactly what went out and to whom. When the piece comes back you record the return, the wastage reconciles against what was issued, and the labour cost calculates itself.
MigrationCan you bring across our existing khata or Excel file?
Yes. Send us whatever you keep records in — an Excel sheet, a Tally export, or photographs of the khata pages — and we do the first load for you before you go live.
HardwareWhat hardware do we need?
A laptop, desktop or tablet to start. Existing thermal or A4 printers almost always work. Barcode scanners, tag printers and RFID readers are supported but not required on day one.
DataWhere is our data kept?
On-premise installations keep all data on your own machine. For cloud accounts, hosting location, backup schedule and your right to a full export are confirmed in writing before you go live.
